The California Community Colleges Undocumented Student Success Week (USSW) happening October 13 – 17, 2025 is a systemwide call to action that uplifts the voices, resilience, and contributions of students impacted by immigration status. This year’s theme is Together in Purpose, Grounded in Belonging.

Undocumented Student Success Week (USSW) Kick off/healing circle

In response to recent immigration enforcement activity and the uncertainty many in our community are facing, Fullerton College invites you to attend a supportive space for healing and connection with skilled facilitator, Arturo Diaz, LCSW. All are welcome to join us for a healing circle in solidarity and personal reflection.

Join us for a film screening of the movie, Paddington. Although thought of as a children’s movie, Paddington, explores themes of immigration and colonialism through the lived experiences of a small bear named Paddington.

Join us for the APIDA x Grads2Be-ginnings Housewarming, a welcoming event hosted by Grads to Be and APIDA Amplified Programs. There will be snacks, music, and a chance to connect with others who share or support these experiences. Everyone is welcome!

Mindful Sound Bath

Join us for a mindful sound bath where you can relax and listen to the soothing sounds of crystal bowls, gongs, and chimes wash over you. This practice creates an immersive journey that promotes the release of every day worries, fosters mental clarity, and encourages emotional healing while reducing stress, increase self-awareness, reconnect, and reengage with ourselves and our community.

*It is recommended to bring your blanket/yoga mat for this session.

Pathways to Citizenship

3-4 p.m.

Join CARECEN to learn about various forms of immigration relief that can potentially result in a pathway to citizenship for those who are undocumented or have DACA!

Join CARECEN to learn more about your immigrant rights, tips for emergency planning, and ways you can protect yourself against fraud.

Transferring to the CSU as an Undocumented Student

2:30-4:30 p.m.

Through this workshop students will understand how to fill out the California State University (CSU) application sections related to their immigration status and residency. This workshop will also introduce students to resources available at the CSU to help them cover their tuition and fees.

Financial Aid Fridays: CA Dream ACT Application

10-11 a.m.

Learn about the CADA application process and different types of aid.

Transferring to the UC as an Undocumented Student

2-3:30 p.m.

Through this workshop students will understand how to fill out the University of California (UC) application sections related to their immigration status and residency. This workshop will also introduce students to resources available at the UC to help them cover their tuition and fees. Lastly, this workshop will help students start thinking about the Personal Insight Questions by exploring their identities and empowering them to share their stories.

Navigating International and Domestic Travel as a Non-Citizen

2-3 p.m.

Join CARECEN to learn about the current state of Advance Parole & options for international and domestic travel for non-citizens.

Humanizing the Immigrant Experience: A Community Conversation with Yosimar Reyes

12-4 p.m.

Yosimar Reyes is a nationally-acclaimed poet, educator, performance artist and speaker. Born in Guerreo, Mexico, and raised in Eastside San Jose, Reyes explores the themes of migration and sexuality in his work. The Advocate named Reyes one of “13 LGBT Latinos Changing the World” and Remezcla included Reyes on their list of “10 Up And Coming Latinx Poets You Need To Know.”
